Recruitment of Technicians in Indian Railways

1.0 Vacancies Total number of vacancies: 9144 Technician Grade 1 Signal: 1092 Technician Grade 3: 8052
2.0 Age Limit (as on 01.07.2024): Technician Grade 1 Signal: 18 โ 36 years Technician Grade 3: 18 โ 33 years Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates as per rules.
3.0 Educational Qualification: Technician Grade 1 Signal: A) Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute. B) Three-year Diploma in Engineering in the aforementioned streams or a combination thereof. C) Degree in Engineering in the aforementioned streams or a combination thereof.
Technician Grade 3: Matriculation/SSLC with ITI certificate from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in relevant trades OR Matriculation/SSLC with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in related trades.
