Recruitment of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) in Various Zones
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts in the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) within Indian Railways. Applications complete in all respects must be submitted ONLINE ONLY.
1.0 Vacancies Detailed CEN No. NTPC 01/2024 will be published on the official websites of RRBs between July and September 2024. RRB official websites are listed in Para 13.0 below. Vacancies indicated are provisional and may increase or decrease based on actual needs.
2.0 Age (as on 01.07.2024) For details about the prescribed lower and upper age limits (including upper age relaxation), please refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the official websites of RRBs.
3.0 Eligibility Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post(s) as on the closing date for submission of application. Candidates waiting for results of prescribed educational qualifications should not apply.
4.0 Physical Measurement (PMT) Standards and Medical Standards Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed PMT and Medical Standards for the post(s) for which they are applying, as detailed in the CEN published on the official RRB websites. Candidates found medically unsuitable for the applied post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment.
5.0 Reservation and Suitability for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) These posts have been identified as suitable for persons with disabilities. For further details, refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the official websites of RRBs.
6.0 Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM) For further information, refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the official websites of RRBs.
7.0 Reservation for Women 15% of posts are reserved for women. For further information, refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the official websites of RRBs.
8.0 Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates For further information, refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the official websites of RRBs.
9.0 Mode of Examination Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by Typing Skill Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination. For further details refer to the detailed CEN.

11.0 Application Process Candidates are required to go through the Post Parameter Table and Vacancy Table of detailed CEN No. NTPC 01/2024 to ascertain their eligibility before applying through ONLINE mode. Only one ONLINE application should be submitted by a candidate against each CEN separately.
12.0 Eligibility Verification Eligibility of the candidates will be provisional based on the details furnished by the candidates in the application. Candidates must satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post. If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her application is false/incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post(s), his/her candidature will be rejected forthwith.
